Formal Exchanges

Formal exchanges are used to deliver regular updates and can be used in a consistent or scheduled manner. They are typically used to target a smaller portion of the community and thus are suitable for any size community.

Types of Formal Exchanges

Formal exchanges typically come in for form of emails to specific parts of the community. There may be separate exchanges for the users and for the contributors.

Content of Formal Exchanges

Recurring updates or more serious matters, such as important news, are appropriate for formal exchanges. A monthly or even weekly newsletter containing small updates about the project can use formal exchanges to target specific audiences. Use formal exchanges to keep the community updated on a regular basis so that everyone stays on track and up to date with how the project is progressing.
