Code of Conduct

Having a code of conduct to guide your community can help guide every member to create a community that is inclusive and avoids behavior that isn't tolerated. One of the most popular Codes of Conduct is the Contributor Covenant. The Contributor Covenant encourages people to work together, help one another, and also outlines punishments for those that act in an ill manner towards others. If the Contributor Covenant doesn't seem to fit your project, there are tons of other examples online. Do your research and find the one that is right for your project!

Remember that simply having a code of conduct doesn't instantly prevent bad behavior or conflict within your community. As the leader of the community, it is your job to foster an environment that is inclusive by being kind, fair, and open in all of your dealings.
